The Charlotte Chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is proud to present the 2016 XTREME HIKE to Cure Cystic Fibrosis.  In just one day, a dedicated team of Xtreme Hikers will hike a 30.1 mile stretch of the famed Appalachian Trail to raise funds and awareness for the CF Foundation’s mission to find a cure for cystic fibrosis.  Hikers will train for three months to prepare for this amazing journey.  Each participant also sets a goal to raise funds to benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.  We will provide you with all of the tools needed to reach your goals, both on and off the trail.

Going out on the mountain is hardwork, hiking a grueling 30+ miles is hardwork, surviving 15 - 16 hours on the trial in one piece is hardwork, getting out of bed the next day when everything hurts is hardwork.

None of this compares though to the daily struggle of 30,000 young Americans fighting Cystic Fibrosis. They have no choice. They have to get up every single day and climb their own mountain over and over.

We hike for my two daughters, Olivia and Sophie who both fight Cystic Fibrosis everyday. We also hike for everyone fighting CF and will not stop until 100% of people have a cure for this terrible disease.

We are closer than ever to curing this disease. Right now the question is not if, but when, not how, but how soon. Time is our enemy but we are accelerating research and driving new treatments into the hands of patients.

Thank you for supporting our Xtreme hike team. With your help we can and we will make CF stand for Cure Found!
