With kids back in school and settling into their schedule.  It’s time to get into your fall training groove.  Getting ready for the holidays up ahead, skiing season, and beach time over the winter break.

Adversity in our lives.

In the difficulties and setbacks in our lives we can find benefits and lessons.  Looking at adversity we can find that it is there to serve us.  It gives us a new larger perspective at something we once considered a challenge. It can help us recenter and be more grateful for all the blessings in our lives.  It can open our eyes and see something we have been blind to.   Adversity brings out our hidden potential and we emerge emotionally stronger.  Adversity aids us to take action, it’s lifes way of letting us know that we are off course and not aligned with our deepest values and personal vision.  Through adversity, as we overcome an obstacles, we gain feeling of being more competent and gain confidence in our skills.  As Napoleon Hill said, “Every adversity carries with it the seed of an equivalent or greater benefit.”   So play above the line, acknowledging your struggles and emotions as you struggle but also choosing to strive to maintain an optimistic attitude and open mind, creating an environment that will allow you to find the benefit in your difficulty.

RiseFit Training Winning Strategy:

Set a goal of how many times per week you will come to class.  Schedule that time into your calendar.  Protect it like other important commitments in your life. Commit to it by sharing your intentions with someone who will hold you accountable (we are happy to be that someone for you).  We recommend 3 to 4 times per week attendance rate.  Resting in between classes is just as important as training hard during classes.  Taking this action will surely improve your attendance rate and your inner drive to improve consistency.

Power of the right touch.

Couple of weeks back, I met George Clark as I wanted to start to offer massage services at Rise.  As we were talking he said. “hey, I got a chair in my car, let me just give you a massage and then you will know what I am talking about.”  I was feeling pretty good, no aches or pains, but a free massage, I am game.  Well, after 15 minute chair massage, I saw a big difference in my back.  I didn’t realize I was walking around with that much tension.  Since then I had several Rise members get massage from him and they all had great experiences.
