If you want to build power into your physique, you need to appreciate the body’s need for rest.  Training hard without matching that training with rest is a formula for failure.  Many people don’t understand that muscles don’t grow during the training, they get torn down,  muscles grow during the rest period after training, not enough rest means stunted growth.  Intense training requires plentiful rest. There is much to be done, therefore we must proceed slowly. ~ Buddha
