We realize that one of the most difficult times of the year to stay the fitness / health course is during the holidays.  We are here for you and we have a great challenge that will propel you into the new year.

December is that last leg of the 2012 race and we will be sprinting strong to the finish line and you are welcome to join us!   Health, feeling good, is more important then the temporary temptations food can offer.  We all know that when we come and train at rise we feel stronger about eating better during the day so the main part of the challenge is to come 3 or 4 times a week to Rise.  You need to set realistic goals for yourself based on your past performance and schedule obligations.  We all make time for that which is important to us, I strongly believe that and if you really want to, then you will make the time and a way to make it to class.

 

THE CHALLENGE

 

  • This "30 Day Challenge" primary focus is to help our members stay focused on their long term goals through the Holiday Season.
  • Challenge will begin on December 1, 2012 and end on December 30, 2012.
  • This CHALLENGE will have TWO primary GOALS
  1. ATTENDANCE: All members participating in the Challenge must attend AT LEAST THREE classes per week through out the challenge period.
  2. Lose Weight and/or Gain Muscle and/or MAINTAIN current body composition, by eating mindfully through the holidays.

 

You know if you had a good day or bad day, you know that for every one bad day you need to have 3 to 4 good days just to get back to pre bad day state.  be realistic, set your limits and your goals.  I will not drink more than 2 glasses of wine, or i will only have one cookie a day and will skip on the chocolate, as examples.

 

 

THE GUIDELINES

 

It’s not a challenge if you have nothing to lose,  INC - Immediate Negative Consequences for not sticking your plan.  All participating members will submit a check made out to the American Red Cross in the minimum amount of $50.00.   Amount has to be motivating and not a “disposable sum”, you are encouraged to write out a check that would “hit you where it hurts ~ the wallet” so that thought helps you stick to the plan!  Upon successful completion of the challenge members will have their checks returned to them to spend/donate in any way they wish. (Should the member not achieve their goal(s) their check will be sent to American Red Cross to help those afflicted by Hurricane Sandy.)

 

We are encouraging members to take advantage of the Body Composition Scan for the challenge.  This is a perfect opportunity to get a “snap shot” of where you are RIGHT now and help you to make your game plan to attack the time between now and the start of 2013.  

Rise Fitness will donate $10.00 of the $45.00 Body Scan fee to the American Red Cross on behalf any members participating at the start of this challenge.

 

Members who are participating in the Challenge are GREATLY encouraged to plan and track their food choices via the "Lose It" App.  Many Rise Fitness members have found this APP hugely helpful when it comes to helping them plan and adhere to their Healthy Eating goals.

 

The Rise Fitness Blog is going to be essential to the challenge!  It will allow the member to receive encouraging motivation and helpful tips to stay on track. The blog will also allow members to encourage one another!

 

 

What we pride ourselves most about at Rise is the friendship, camaraderie and support our members give to one another!  Let’s take advantage of our shared goals and enthusiasm ~ to celebrate and enjoy the end of 2012 with a sense of accomplishment and empowerment and get ready to KICK Ass in 2013!
